Here we are, together, to start a new year in our English lessons. I do not know your expectations for my subject but I realise that lots of students like you, are not able to talk in English for several reasons: they scare, they feel insecurity, they feel embarrassed or even a little bit ridiculous....This year, things are going to change...we will feel confident and impressed with ourselves. To achieve these goals just two rules to follow inside my classroom:

1-PARTICIPATE!!!
2-TALK AND TALK, YOU WILL MAKE MISTAKES FOR SURE, however you are not going to be penalized for talking incorrectly SO, TRY TO DO YOUR BEST

LAST PROJECT: THE WORLD AND MY LIFE IN THE NEXT COMING 50 YEARS

Hi guys,

Here you are the instructions to design our last project: THE WORLD AND MY LIFE IN THE NEXT COMING 50 YEARS.

To talk about future, we need to refresh our mind about how to express future time in English. That is the reason why I want you to work in pairs or threes and be a teacher for one day.

Matches are the following:

Lucas and Desi: WILL FUTURE

José Domingo, Paula and Nacho: BE GOING TO FUTURE

Carla, Titi and Diego: PRESENT CONTINUOUS WITH FUTURE MEANING

To plan these lessons, you will be given some instructions in class but mainly you must focus your explanation in two main points: theory and practice.

After working with grammar you will elaborate a presentation. Feel free to choose your format. You will include the following aspects:

• How world will be in 50 years
• How my house will be in 50 years
• How my personal life will be in 50 years.

Deadline for this project: 18th June.

SPANISH ERASMUS STUDENTS AROUND THE WORLD

Hi guys!!!

Here you are an interesting project for you to learn and travel around the world.

This project is going to be developed in pairs.

We can divide the project into two parts:

1) Design a leaflet or brochure introducing the more significant aspects of the city and country where you decide to live.

ATTENTION: To design this leaflet you should take into consideration these aspects.

• You can´t copy from the Internet, you must use your own words otherwise you will be penalized in your final mark.

• You must include some pictures.

• When you elaborate the leaflet you can focus on the aspects you want: monuments, culture, gastronomy, customs and traditions...

• To give a format or framework to your leaflet you can use publisher office in the office pack where you can find how to make leaflets on different ways.

2) Record a video of the anecdotes of the best and worst moments lived in that country.

As you all know, creativity, originality as well as accuracy at your oral and written skills are important factors for you to get a great final mark.

Deadline for your leaflet: 7th March.

Deadline for your video presentation: 16th March.

COMPARING SPORT PEOPLE!!!

Hi guys!!!

Here you are a new project using the comparison of adjectives. Just follow the instructions and enjoy this project that is going to be INDIVIDUAL.

1. Choose a sport and two important people involved in it.

2. Design a presentation with at least 8 slides. No matter what format you use.

3. In your presentation, you must include a brief biography of the two sport men or women you have selected, and make comparisons in terms of the sport they are training and practising.

4. Be creative and try to do it your best.

5. The presentations start on Monday 4th December.
