DESCRIBING A PIECE OF ART

Hi everybody!!!

Let´s try a tiny project about art. To develop this activity, please, follow these guidelines:

1. Search on the Internet a piece of art you like.
2. Write a brief description of it in three paragraphs according to what we will see in class at your student´s book.
3. Design a presentation to introduce your selected piece of art to your classmates. At this presentation you should talk about the artist who creates that piece of art, the topic, the main characteristics and your opinion.

Some people share the opinion that everything in our life is ART. It depends on how you look at things...that you consider art to the most insignificant details and items in your daily activities.

So, to break the ice with this unit...I want you to make a comment about how important art is in your life. You must give me reasons to your answer.

FIRST PROJECT: THE MOST STRANGE AND ORIGINAL RESTAURANT YOU´VE EVER SEEN IN YOUR LIFE

Hi guys!!!

This is your first project. I keep my fingers crossed and I hope you enjoy it.

This project is going to be a pair project ( 2 people per group).

To elaborate this project properly, follow these guidelines:

1.    Make a research on the Internet about restaurants around the world and focus on weird, uncommon aspects of them, the ones that are shocking to you.

2.    Fill in a form with several details:  how it is called, where it is, type of food it is offered. Take a picture of it and design a poster. 

3.    Design a Powerpoint Presentation or video only with pictures and explain to your classmates all the characteristics of the restaurant you have chosen. For this presentation you should take into consideration the following steps:

NO WORDS ARE ALLOWED. MINIMUM SLIDES: 8, MAXIMUM 10.

LAST PROJECT: YOUR LIFE IN 20 YEARS

Dear all,

Here we are, at the end of our academic course....time flies!!! And it will be a pleasure to give you the last guidelines for our final project.

This project will be INDIVIDUAL

It is titled: YOUR LIFE IN 20 YEARS.

You should design a presentation dealing with different aspects of your life in the future:

How you imagine your life in terms of : FAMILY, JOB, HOBBIES.

Creativity and imagination will be taken into consideration.

As you usual, you can only write titles at your slides or video. WRITTEN TEXT IS NOT ALLOWED.

You can use any type of format for your presentation.

PROJECT UNITS 4,5 & 6: MY IDEAL TRIP

Hi everybody!!!

Are you ready for our term´s project?? I hope so...the title is : MY IDEAL TRIP

This is an INDIVIDUAL PROJECT; and it has several parts. Just follow these guidelines and you will see how it works:

1) Choose a kind of travel you would like to do (adventure, extreme, planned in advance) and think your destination.

2) Make a digital poster with this information: Location, culture and customs, weather and special things to consider, fashion in term of clothes, and free time activities of people leaving there.

3) You are going to share with your family and friends some interesting moments in your travel, so record the most important events and anecdotes you lived there.

4) Make a video presentation with these important moments and explain your classmates why you chose that place and the the most interesting things there to recommend them this destination.

In any travel you have good memories and sometimes there are things that allow you to refresh the moments you lived at that place, then, try to look for a song or movie and present it in class for everybody to enjoy it. Design a game or something in order to learn it together.

OUR NEW YEAR´S RESOLUTIONS!!!!

Here we are again after Christmas holidays!!! I want you to share and comment the following aspects below. Have a great new year and much success for our English lessons!!!

1. When a new year starts, you usually think about goals and objectives to achieve during that year...what is called RESOLUTIONS. Enumerate some of them.
2. Sharing about Christmas holidays: Tell me, what you like most and least about Christmas period and give me reasons.
3. A wish for everybody.
4. A wish and resolution for our English lessons.
